our new adventure and a giveaway!!

well...we did it.  or rather rick did and as usual i will catch up with him eventually.  we opened an etsy shop.  rick came to me awhile back with the idea and frankly i was surprised he had even heard of etsy...but he had and well his idea was born.  we have been working on the *shop* for the past week or two trying to get everything in order (which i am sure it is not) and up.  rick has also been busy in the workshop making some toys and well...here we are.  he is in the workshop right now working on another toy as well but we will reveal what we can when we can.  so for now...chainsaws!  rick made one for nahum this spring after he fell in love with a loud plastic one at a friends house.  i couldn't justify spending money on plastic just to watch it break (because they always do).  so i asked rick if he could make one (after i looked online and couldn't find an affordable wooden version).

so, in order to kick off the holiday cheer we are going to offer a giveaway of one of rick's chainsaws.  we are going to try and get our names out there in hopes to sell a few!  and maybe after thanksgiving i can get him on the blog to say a few of his own words...but for now these are just mine.  i am proud of him and as always jealous that he can just make up these toys as he goes along.  and now back to the giveaway...one chainsaw to one lucky winner to be announced sometime next week. leave a comment to enter and (thanks gardenmama i am borrowing your multi chance idea) to get entered three extra times link up to my blog from your blog(you know free promo for rick's shop!!) and let me know if you do so in your comment!   tell all your friends and friends of friends that wooden chainsaws are super cool!  and now i must be done acting like a fool.  i also must go pack for our road trip coming up on friday and i also must go make some more food for tomorrow!  happy thanksgiving everyone!  i hope there is a lot of yummy food and cheer in every ones home this holiday.

p.s.  happy buy nothing day

  21. DONE! My little girl was always so afraid of the chainsawing that we could hear across the valley, but this year her daddy bought a chainsaw to fell some beatle-kill trees and she overcame her fear just watching him at work! Now she's intrigued and really enjoyed helping him stack the wood.
