happy birthday sweet nahum...

well...i wasn't sure what to post since we have had a lot going on lately (family visits, garden harvests, fall-like beach days) but then i looked at the clock and saw it was officially nahum's birthday (he wasn't born until the night time but still it is the 8th).  time flies.  i was just looking at the past birthday photos and shaking my head.  i am kind of feeling a bit overwhelmed with this birthday.  just that he is so big now.  i know i know, how very cliche of me.  everyone always comments on time and children and enjoy it while you can but still...it sneaks up on you.  i have a quote from nahum from this morning...on our way to pick m. for the daily beach trip.  it pretty much sums up the awesomeness (hmm...a word?) of being a kid or better yet being nahum.  "mama, you know what my favorite part of the world is?"..."sticks."..."signs."..."flowers."..."flowers."...and "diggers and dump trucks and pick up trucks and tank trucks and tractors and back hoes and forklifts"...(the list went on but i was driving and couldn't keep up writing and driving as fast as he was talking)..."that is my favorite part of the world."  thank you for that nahum.  i hope it is always flowers and trucks.  and lumber because he also told me that he loved lumber today because, "mama, isn't lumber so cool."...yes, dear boy it is!  well...i am off to bed before our birthday hike with uncle joshy tomorrow and a beach time cookout tomorrow afternoon.  happy birthday nahum...you are my favorite part of the world!
